It has gotten pretty real out there. Rough times. I have never seen anything like this in my life time, and I have been around almost a half century. Even with some of the worst illnesses that have come, and seemingly gone, over the years, we have never gone to these extremes. Naturally, with unprecedented action comes unprecedented concern. It is very understandable why we have to go through this today. Yet that does not stop us from getting worried, and even more, upset that our lives are being uprooted so drastically and so dramatically. Mainly, the concern out there is about the economy and individual jobs. Yes this is a huge concern, shocking really. What is one to think when we have never been through it before, and don't know the proper coarse of action?
First, like all situations the very worst thing that we can do is panic. LOL! Too late right? Seriously though, keeping calm and trying to be rational in a crisis situation is indispensable. Panic is of course mostly mediated by speculation and rumors. We think there is going to be a toilet paper crisis, yet who told us that? Second, we should all be offered government provided classes that help us understand the best actions to take in different scenarios. I mean with all of the shootings, and terrorist attacks, and violence, and uncensored media coverage, and pandemics, we need experienced, knowledgeable people to help us wrap our brains around such craziness. Well, hopefully one of these days we will have that kind of thing available to us.
Moving along, I want to emphasize that we really do need to try and stay calm. As it has been said for probably centuries, worry is absolutely the biggest waste of one's time and energy. It does absolutely no good to worry. Perhaps there are a few examples of where worry turn out to have a serendipitous result, but generally it is worthless. As humans, we just do though, worry that is, about everything. Hence why we have store shelves wiped clean of nearly everything that we consider crucial to survive the current situation. If we think about it with our minds and hearts, instead of listening to the hype, we can be more rational about our actions. We can avoid creating the fear that brings the panic that leads to compulsive behavior. Sure we need to try and stay home, and we can't go to restaurants, but we are not going to run out of food. We can only prepare for so much, so hoarding mostly just leads to mass waste after a while. I feel fairly certain that if the food supply was anywhere near being a problem, we would know about it. You can't hide that kind of thing very well. Right now, it is because of businesses having to close that certain supply chains have broken, but food production has not, and will not cease. I believe we can relax a little with the over buying.
One last thing. Energy is the fuel for all things, and can be manipulated in many ways. We have the ability to change the energy from being mostly negative to being purely positive. We are going to get through this soon, of that I have faith. We are a smart world and have taken the ultimate measures to stop this horrible virus. Trust in that if we just start to believe that all is good, and will be going forward, we will change energy to work with us rather than against us. Global prayer and forward thinking will get us through it, without a doubt. That is the Avant Garde approach that I have been writing about. Until next week, be proactive, take the utmost precautions, but most of all, be positive! God bless us all.
